Circa 1927 Indian Scout
We were asked to re-commission this luscious Indian Scout from 1927 (with bits from ’28, ’29, ’30 and ’31!) and carry out an extensive Clean & Revive prior to shipping it to Goodwood for display at The Revival.
If you take an Indian apart to restore it – wanting it to be pristine forever AND you want to ride it – forget it! These bikes are either mint and not ridden or wonderfully oily and a joy to straddle.
Look out for the left hand throttle, left hand foot clutch and right hand stick shift though. It’s a little like patting your tummy and rubbing your head whilst trying to figure out a Rubic Cube!
These fine photos, courtesy of our client, show the end result.
